The ambassador to
Sweden gave a talk at
Stockholm University recently, and during the talk some members of the audience threw a shoe (and some other items) at him.
He was going to speak on the upcoming Israeli elections, but instead he was defending the recent Israeli actions in
Gaza. Two people were arrested for assault and public disorder.
This happened on February 4, 2009.
And on February 2, a shoe was thrown at Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao when he spoke at Cambridge University in Britain. More information at this link.
I think this shoe throwing business is catching on. Photo is from the rally in Charlotte in January 2009. No shoe throwing there.
