I am concerned that you are cosponsoring S.Res. 65, which calls for the United States to provide military support if Israel attacks Iran, which
would undermine diplomacy and could make war more likely. I am particularly concerned about section 1(8) which calls on the U.S. government to provide military support to Israel if it decides to take military action against Iran. Please work to remove this section from the bill.
With tensions rising between Iran and the United States, even nonbinding resolutions like S. Res 65 can fuel confrontation and undermine the diplomatic engagement that is needed to resolve the current dispute.
Please withdraw your cosponsorship of this resolution. At a minimum, I hope you will work to remove Section 1(8).
AND - you might want to start paying attention to North Korea, who has threatened to attack the USA. Iran is NOT building nuclear weapons, does NOT have a nuclear weapons program, and has NOT threatened the USA. But North Korea has and it is not even discussed.
