"I am angry that we live in a world where two disabled boys can have their lives stolen from them, where cops can lie and intimidate with impunity, where innocent people can be condemned to die and where injustice is so difficult to bring to light."
The above statement came from an attorney for Henry McCullum, a man who was convicted of rape and murder and spent 30 years of his life in prison. Henry and his brother were innocent, but our society totally failed them. It is because we are liars, in my opinion. We lie about just about every damn thing, and in just about every aspect of our lives and our society. The worst damn lies are the ones that kill people..... like the lies that start wars, or the lies that get people sent to death row. I want to see the death penalty abolished - there is no good reason why we have to act in such barbaric ways. Those ISIS murderers have nothing on us, when it comes to torture and gruesome behavior.
The whole article from the attorney for Mr. McCullum is here.
