BDS vs US Government Sanctions

BDS is qualitatively and quantitatively different from sanctions against Russia, Iran, and N.Korea. First, mere advocating of boycotts, divestments and sanctions is free speech, whereas government enforced sanctions is not free speech.  Secondly, practicing BDS is voluntary, whereas, sanctions against countries is not voluntary, being enforced with penalties. Thirdly, BDS is to opposed violations of international law, whereas sanctions against Russia, Iran N.Korea violate international law. Fourthly, BDS is to bring peace and stop oppression, whereas U.S. sanctions destroy peace and continue oppression. Fifthly, boycotts by civil society is freedom, whereas, enforced sanctions destroy freedom.
