Obama's attacks on activists is nothing compared to his attacks on whistle- blowers, which is nothing compared to his human rights abuses in Gitmo and elsewhere, which is nothing compared to his sending in Special Forces into scores of foreign countries, which is nothing compared to his drone bombings in a half dozen or more countries, which is nothing compared to his escalation of the war in Afghanistan.  And today, we have more troops in Afghanistan than when he started being President.  And many more dead innocent civilians.

He did follow Bush's agreement to get out of Iraq, although he tried hard not to.  And he followed Bush's plans for bailing out the financial sector and not fixing any of the problems there.  He has followed Bush's environmental policies (until August 2012) and has been worse on immigration policies (until August 2012), but I suspect this is a temporary change of course. 

But he is better on gay rights, and on keeping abortion legal.
