Jerusalem police need help

Well, I agree they need help. But not this kind of help:

We decided to conduct an extensive campaign to recruit volunteers for Jerusalem's Civil Guard," Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat said at the end of a situation assessment with Police Commissioner Lieutenant Yohanan Danino and Jerusalem District Commander Moshe Edri.
"I call on the citizens of Jerusalem to volunteer and strengthen the civilian aid to security forces," Barkat said.
More people with guns on the street will not improve anything.  This came from this news article.

Yesterday, the corporate media reported on the violence in a Jerusalem synagog. They did not report on the incidents that inspired that violence... one of which was a West Bank Palestinian bus driver being badly beaten and lynching by Israeli settlers a couple days before. Or the spraying of skunk water on empty schools in Jerusalem. Or all the other violence and attacks and land grabs in the West Bank and Jerusalem or all the unending ceasefire violations in Gaza. No, that is not covered. It is ignored and the dumb Americans end up thinking that the Arabs in Palestine are just crazy violent for no reason.

Of course, it is the Israelis who are crazy violent and they prove it by killing vastly more than the Palestinians. And they do this again and again, year after year.

All the violence is disgusting, but I know who the worst offender is.

Violence begets violence, always has and always will.
