A bomb that saves lives!!

The anchor on this show said that three times before the story even started with an excited and optimistic tone in his voice. The news segment about this “new bomb” showed us how it works. They had a truck sitting in a field and the “NEW SAFE BOMB” was directed towards the truck. This particular demo bomb had no explosives, but it did hit it’s target. It put a hole in the truck. The news show talked about how light this new bomb is, and how well the guiding system for the bomb works. They did mention that it is hard to know who the “bad guys” are and that this was the hard part.
Well, how about BULLETS THAT SAVE LIVES?
Or maybe DEADLY GERMS THAT PROMOTE HEALTH?
Or AUTO ACCIDENTS THAT CAUSE MATERIAL GAIN?
Or maybe POLLUTION THAT CURES GLOBAL WARMING?
Or HOMICIDES THAT PROMOTE LIFE?
Or how about RAPES FOR BETTER ORGASMS?
Or ……. What the hell, these people are nutcases. I think we should re-test the new BOMB THAT SAVES LIVES on the same truck, only this time with explosives intact. And then have the ABC news guys stand 50 feet away and see what happens…… and then we can know for sure that this bomb will ‘save lives’.

So if it can put a hole in the truck it can put a hole in a human. How save is that! I think you just have to stop watching tv. I have only 2 channels with a lot of noise (analog, Belgian state television which I somehow trust more than 500 American channels). I read the national papers and the internet (Dancewater) for my news. Shop around for trustworthy website's (I know you do.). Just stop watching the telly, it's all lies and gets you down. It's directed at people who think bombs can be made save or minimize casualties because of pinpoint precision. People who only count the American Dead. Let's say the less smart people. Stop watching for a week and you become a much calmer person. Your whole worldview will change. No more everyday violence, no misinformation, and no nonsense.
actually, I don't watch it very much, but I do watch it enough to know why Americans are so very dumb!
It is madding though to hear "a bomb that saves lives" but that is the reason that dumb Americans told me when the Iraq war started that the bombs dropped on a Baghdad market were from Saddam, because she would not believe that US bombs would kill innocent civilians..... it's like they took a drug that makes them thing that we only bomb with loving kindness......
I contribute to the Iraq Today blog, so I am pretty aware of what is happening in that part of the world.
