TWELVE YEARS OF GUANTANAMO

Picture is of a Code Pink protest against Guantanamo, from their website.

A very sad anniversary, and a sad commentary on where our country is at this time. Here is  poem from a former prisoner at Guantanamo – he is free now, thanks to the freedom of the grave.

They are artists of torture,
They are artists of pain and fatigue,
They are artists of insults and humiliation.
Where is the world to save us from torture?
Where is the world to save us from the fire and sadness?
Where is the world to save the hunger strikers?
