They will be showing: AMERICA'S DIALOGUE, more than a video on the nuclear age, this portrays the human cost of militarism & war, the degradation & pollution of our environment; the problem of energy & global warming, the enormous drain of resources away from healthcare & education, an embedded culture of weapons manufacture & war, and the very real and growing threat, not only to our own, but to our children’s future. It intends to be catalyst for a great national debate. Norman Cousins says of it "What the country needs today is a moratorium on its normal activity, habits, and general routine; which is to say, a moratorium on trivia in order to acquire a basic literacy on the questions of our time.”

All talks will be at 7 p.m. at Diana Wortham Theatre at Pack Place downtown. "What does climate change mean for the future? Challenges to our water systems and infrastructures." Panel discussion of leading experts focused on environmental issues surrounding climate change. Followed by a meet-the-presenters reception at the Colburn Earth Science Museum. 04/19/08 There will be displays and programs at the Transylvania Public Library in Brevard all day. The vigil for peace is from 12 to 1 PM in front of the Courthouse in Brevard.
