Massive protests in Baghdad (again)

Iraqi Shiites shout anti-US slogans during a demonstration in Baghdad's al-Kadhimiyah district, 30 April 2007.

Four years after declaring the end of major combat operations in Iraq beneath a banner hailing "Mission Accomplished," US President George W. Bush is locked in a showdown with Congress over funding for the lingering conflict.

This photo and the ones above are of a massive demonstration in Baghdad today. As far as I know, there was no news report of this protest. It was, I believe, in response to the US troops killing some members of Sadr's group. It looks like there were thousands there.
