Whales committing suicide

Last night, over 200 whales and dolphins stranded themselves on an island off of Australia's coast. This type of action has been happening, now and then, for a few decades now. But this was unusual in the high number of whales that were stranded.

One theory is that their ability to determine where to go has been destroyed by sonar or some other man-made noise pollutants in the ocean. The sonar blasts often destroy their inner ears, which is a source of balance and orientation in the physical world. But, it seems to me, if that were the case then the whales would be dispersed all over the place and not end up dying on one single beach.

My theory is that they are committing mass suicide to send us a message - that we are destroying the earth, both with our over-consumption, over-population and war making. A lot of whales and dolphins are killed by US military exercises, particularly when they use massive sonar or blow stuff up underwater. What a sadness that these innocent animals have to pay for our evil ways!
