I wish it was funny

But this cartoon is too real to be funny. Last week, we found out that the highest levels of our government here in the USA (meaning bush, cheney, rumsfeld, rice, and others) approved of torture.

I know the Military Commissions Act, passed in October 2006, made all Americans into torturers. I put a sign on my car that said "We are all torturers now." But I am still really depressed about what we have become, what we have done, and fearful of what we will do in the near and far future. Here are some quotes on torture:

"What the world needs is not dogma but an attitude of scientific inquiry combined with a belief that the torture of millions is not desirable, whether inflicted by Stalin or by a Deity imagined in the likeness of the believer" Bertrand Russell

"The healthy man does not torture others." Carl Gustav Jung

"We don't torture people in America and people who say we do simply know nothing about our country". George W. Bush [Interview with Australian TV - October 18, 2003]

Obviously, bush is a liar.
