Israeli Forces Kill Children

Photo: A relative stands next to the body of Taha Alhangalawi at the hospital morgue in the West Bank city of Ramallah February 1, 2007. Israeli troops shot dead a third Palestinian near Israel's West Bank barrier on Thursday, hospital sources said. They said Taha Alhangalawi, 17, had been shot in the leg by Israeli troops and bled to death. (01 Feb 2007 REUTERS/Loay Abu Haykel)

This is so disgusting that they allowed him to bleed to death rather than get medical aid for him.

There are, of course, incidents of Palestinians killing Israeli children also. But from the website “Remember These Children” the killing is very uneven – the Israeli forces are killing many more Palestinian children. The count right now is (since September 2000) 122 dead Israeli children and 869 dead Palestinian children. The count for 2006 is 2 dead Israeli children and 152 dead Palestinian children.

I am out raged by this evil that kills innocent children, no matter who does the killing. But I really do expect better behavior from government agencies and from the UN. There will always be crazy nutcases running around that kill other people (or try to) and we need to arrest them, try them in court, and then lock them up for the rest of their lives. However, there should be almost no cases of government agencies, or standing armies, or UN forces, EVER killing a child except by accident. Anyone involved in this should be also be arrested, tried and sent to prison for the rest of their lives.
