A Letter from an ex-Marine

From an letter written from ex-Marine to his long dead uncle - an uncle who died in the Bataan Death March:

"Your war is sometimes referred to as "the good war." As it turns out, the only good war, righteous war, is the class war. Government by and for wealthy Americans to control working people has ascended by copying corporate, autocratic power hierarchies, buying the Constitution, giving them power over individuals, and building cadres of boot lickers--"privileged citizens." Democracy and representation are not possible within that infrastructure. Fear and distraction, through these constant military excursions, corporate America's theft of individual rights, foreign affairs attacking humanity to take money from the poorest of human beings and pitting us against each other is our new world society of top down social control. A society of corporate values (dog eat dog, "leaders," and kill to accumulate others' money)."

I do wish that all Americans would WAKE UP and see this reality. There is no "good wars" or even morally justifiable military wars that are not 100% wars of self-defense. So, the last "good war" that was found by Americans was the wars against the native people - and it was the native people who were fighting for self-defense, not the new European settlers.

The corporations, particularly the military-media-industrial complex, are eating us whole for dinner. Many people profit from this huge machine that's only goal is to kill, injure, harm other human beings - and MOST OF THE VICTIMS ARE TOTAL INNOCENTS.

Yes, most of the people who die in wars are civilians. That majority goes up with each and every war. And a good number of combatants ON ALL SIDES are there either because they are silly foolish children who believe the lies their government told them, or there are sent to war against their will. Now that we have a volunteer force in the USA, no one is sent against their will. But a lot of them feel they have no other choice, and a lot of them still believe the lies our government is telling them. It seems no matter how often our government lies, some folks will still make exceptions to "when" they might be telling the truth.

So, some fools see the Iraq war was wrong, but somehow see the assault on Afghanistan as "good". Funny how they think it is okay to bomb and invade a country because some deadly criminals trained and were located in that place. With that line of thinking, we should bomb and invade Timothy Mac Veigh's home state. Or bomb and invade North Carolina, since that is where Eric Rudolph came from and was hiding. (Actually, they came close in the last one. Some little kid in Andrews, NC was shinning a laser light into the sky when they were looking for Rudolph, and some idiot nearly did bomb them.)

If anyone reading this is foolish enough to think that the USA engages in all these wars over the years, and all this deception, for the "good" of somebody, then please go read Howard Zinn's History of the United States. All these wars, and all these bombing runs since WW2 were to keep the military-media-industrial complex making more and more and more profits for a selected few.

And, just for the record - countries attacked or invaded by Iran since WW2:

Zero

Countries attacked or invaded or by Israel since WW2:

This is just a partial list from memory. It is not a complete list by any means.

UPDATE ON THE SO-CALLED WEAPONS FROM IRAN!

Where do those 81 MM rounds really come from? Well, MAYBE HERE.

Oh, and be sure to read THIS REVIEW of where the shaped IEDs originally came from.

The internets tell all. Hey, since the US is supplying more weapons to the Iraqi insurgents than anybody (and that is not counting all the weapons depots we left unguarded in Iraq in the early part of the occupation) - does that mean we are going to go to war on ourselves? No silly, I mean a declared war, not this WE ARE SHOOTING OURSELVES IN THE FOOT EVERYDAY stuff.
