NYT = War Pimps

In the article “Deadliest Bomb in Iraq is Made by Iran, U.S. Says” the claim is made that Iraqi insurgents are getting help in building IEDs. Yet, just four short years ago, the front pages of the New York Times was claiming that those ingenious Iraqis were building chemical, biological and nuclear “WMDs” that were cleverly hidden away from UN weapons inspector’s eyes. And now we are to believe the claim made by “anonymous officials” that they cannot make advanced IEDs without help?

Just how gullible is the staff at the New York Times? Okay, I am betting that they are not gullible – they are PIMPS FOR THE MILITARY INDUSTRIAL COMPLEX.

They just cannot be THAT stupid.

UPDATE: NPR pimps right along with them. They claimed this morning that the US military in Iraq showed them the weapons that came from Iran, and made a claim of how many US troops were killed by these weapons. No mention that these claims were not collaborated, and no mention that reporters were NOT allowed to photograph the "evidence". No mention of how other groups, like the IRA, was able to make "shaped IEDs" - apparently without help from Iran (underground rumor was that the Brits actually developed this technology and then fed it underground to the IRA - and found out in 2004 that it was being used against the Brit soldiers in southern Iraq).

Also, no mention of the fact that for most of the time, the "insurgency" in Iraq were Sunni fighters, which the Iranians surely would not "help". No mention of the fact that if the majority of Shi'ites are also fighting the US troops, then that means the whole country, except for the Kurds, and so WHAT THE H*LL ARE WE DOING THERE?
